Everything Trump and his spawn said about Clinton turned out to be projection. Every last thing.
Emails? Yeah, Trump spawn did that.
Collude with a foreign power? Trump and his spawn did that.
Lie and break the law? Trump’s people did that.
So yeah, it’s nuts. It’s also entirely predictable.

Yeah, this is actually part of many newspaper’s troll-control regime. Users are on probation for the 1st ten posts; usually, a troll will reveal themselves during that time period. After that, it’s up to the community (i.e. us folks) to police & report.
If the troll kept troll/spamming, the mods would just mute them. To them, their shit would still be showing up - just nobody else would be paying attention to it.
Of course, this doesn’t quite work when their whole reason for spamming is to get linkback Google juice.
It seems like decades ago when RWNJs breathlessly criticized The Blah POTUS for inserting himself into an issue.

I guess I know auto racing fans of the NASCAR type. And I figure from your comment there is no reason to read the comments at the article.
This day is nauseating enough.
Fucking Trump Wrecking Ball is way active. And then there is the Senate.
I had a conversation with my very Republican sister a while back about all this. She thought it was disrespectful to the flag and the troops to kneel. I pointed out that there were people in the military who said they supported the protest, and she dismissed them as wrong as well. Then I pointed out that it doesn’t make sense to say the military “fought and died for our rights” but that to exercise those rights is to disrespect them. She didn’t really have an answer for that, and probably still doesn’t (now she’s just tired of seeing/reading/hearing about it).
What I’ve also noticed is that a lot of people don’t want to talk about the protests beyond “how dare they disrespect the flag/country/troops/first responders!” because then they have to face the underlying issues. They want to believe that everything is okay now, that things like police shootings and other instances of social injustice are just outliers that aren’t the sign of a bigger systemic problems.

lol Someone tried to use this part of the NFL rulebook to disprove the “The NFL has no rule about kneeling” statement:
From page 23:
ARTICLE 8. PERSONAL MESSAGES. Throughout the period on game-day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field), players are prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages either in writing or illustration, unless such message has been approved in advance by the League office. Items to celebrate anniversaries or memorable events, or to honor or commemorate individuals, such as helmet decals, and arm bands and jersey patches on players’ uniforms, are prohibited unless approved in advance by the League office. All such items approved by the League office, if any, must relate to team or League events or personages. The League will not grant permission for any club or player to wear, display, or otherwise convey messages, through helmet decals, arm bands, jersey patches, or other items affixed to game uniforms or equipment, which relate to political activities or causes, other non-football events, causes or campaigns, or charitable causes or campaigns. Further, any such approved items must be modest in size, tasteful, non-commercial, and non- controversial; must not be worn for more than one football season; and if approved for use by a specific team, must not be worn by players on other teams in the League.
Of course. He’s a high school football coach. I feel bad for those kids he coaches.

I hate FedEx with the heat of a bazillion burning suns.
Stuff I ordered from Amazon on 9/20 was supposed to be delivered in 2 days.
Friday comes and tracking says the package arrived at the Huntington WV facility and was out for delivery by 8 p.m.
At 7:58 pm the tracking says the package was back at Huntington because it couldn’t be due to natural disaster.
And maybe it will be delivered by 9/27.
Excusez-moi????
Natural fucking disaster?
Unless 43 people being arrested during a drug roundup in my county on Friday constitutes a natural disaster (and I suppose it could being this is Appalachia…) the actual weather was gorgeous and there were no fracking earthquakes.
Tracking now says the package is back on the truck as of 7:33 am and is supposed to be delivered by 8 pm

They willingly accepted money from the DoD to bring their players onto the field for the SSB, and at the time, did not think about possible consequences down the line. They just took the millions.

They are descendants of ones who brought black people over from Africa because they were too lazy to do the hard plantation work of raising cotton, sugar cane or tobacco on their own, and the natives kept running away to rejoin their people beyond the edge of the wilderness.

Coulda sworn she was here before you. Here’s your vouching voucher.
So you were ignoring me. Hhhmmmpff!
re: #127 Nyet
I know her history. I had lurked quite a bit.
Aha! The funny thing is my friend who got me on the site made a joke about Robert Spencer (you guys remember him, Pam Geller’s friend) being fat or something like that and Walter tore into him. He didn’t post much after that. We’re still friends though since he’s an offline friend too.
re: #125 HappyWarrior
Lucky you. She called me a homophobe for some silly joke I made about Palin. This being the intellectual heavyweight who had an avi of Calvin pissing on the name Allah. Dunno why though but I thought you were here before me. I joined fall 09 I believe.
It was all the people white knighting for her that drove me nuts. Bigots should not have supporters.

Lets see Jerry fire the whole team and kiss his Superbowl dreams goodbye.

Reine… When I first joined she was looking for help on the second cook book. She and others were very welcoming. I volunteered a couple recipes and some editing time. And made up for a slightly rough start. 🙄🙄
I enjoyed talking music with Steve but I got annoyed when he would crap on people for talking politics. Eventually I got fed up one day and said dude you’re on a political blog, people are going to talk politics. He really wasn’t a bad person or anything like that but could be obnoxious and intentionally obtuse.

I do remember her. She seemed like a nice person even if we had disagreements. Hell, I’ve always respected the hell out of you. We’ve had our disagreements but it’s been civil because you’re a good dude.
WUB is another one I remember. Don’t know where he went but I liked talking brew with him since he’s from Oregon.

Yes I remember them too especially Fozzie. I think Fozzie got a bit disillusioned with Obama because he thought he could be more outspoken. Oh and Ludwig. I actually got on good with him but he could be a real asshole especially to those he disagreed with.

Dude I was still in high school and posting on DU in 2005.
re: #140 HappyWarrior
Racist asshole, unfortunately.
re: #122 HappyWarrior
Exactly and you get it man. Your character is exactly why I happily defended you when Ziggy called you a conservative wingnut and suggested you didn’t care.
Yes you did and that was a very nice moment.

Thank you. I feel so much better…../

I’d do it again too. That was completely uncalled for. You and I may have our disagreements about guns but A) people are going to disagree and B) From the minute Treyvon Martin was killed by Zimmerman, you have been one of the best spoken lizards on the subject of racial discrimination. I felt bad for Ziggy sometimes because we’re both on the spectrum but communication I think is harder for him than me. I still miss him to a degree but I understand why he wore out his welcome and why people got frustrated with him because I know I did.

Can’t recall but I do remember who greeted me. It was Fat Bastard Vegatarian. Nice guy who liked to joke he looked like Glenn Beck but has since faded away. Brooky, Albsteve, and Walter were regulars back then too as was SFZ, DF, and some others in forgetting. Oh yeah Mandy.
We came in at almost the same time.
I also remember Cato the Elder since I got along with him. I dreadfully miss SFZ & cheered when Mandy finally got the hammer.

Yeah I never got to know Cato but that’s a name I remember. I miss SFZ too. I loved loved her teaching stories and I know she got a kick when I told her that it reminded me of Frank McCourt. And yeah I didn’t feel bad about Mandy either. As I recall, she accused Charles of Southern bashing and flounced. And then there were the early trolls like barflytom, the pompous Brit. Oh and Buck. How could we forget Buck!
