The man who set himself on fire is still alive and in critical condition.

Ugh, I feel really bad for this guy, regardless of how off-the-rails he is.

I’ve mentioned this before, but there use to be a woman who would regularly roller skate on the plaza in front of the Philly Art Museum while waving a giant flag. It was some kind of protest for peace. I used to end my Fairmount Park bike rides there and and just hang out.

Eventually I stopped seeing her. Found out later she committed suicide by setting herself on fire. Really sad that whatever she was going through, she felt that was the only answer.
