This tracks. Anytime civil unrest occurs like this the cops go crazy, because they’re goons who just want to hurt people.

If that were true, if they’d gone crazy and just wanted to hurt people they’d have welcomed the ample legal justification offered by the violent counter-protesters, or they’d have weighed in and walloped everyone.

Instead, they condoned that violence, they admired it.
