I wear my helmet all the time while riding. But it was interesting when I visited Amsterdam seeing all the people riding and not wearing helmets. One point is they tended to ride much slower (in the city, anyway).

Japanese cities have lots of cyclists. The only ones that wear helmets are the kids riding front-and-back on the mamacharis (mother charabancs). Even the police cyclists don’t wear helmets.
