Hey, childhood neighbor who I never met—we obviously share some Sox memories. (I’m heading to Beantown Wednesday)

When I was in Jr High, the local Chevy dealer had the Town’s school bus contract. In appreciation, every summer he would buy a block of tickets to a Red Sox game and invite any student who wanted to go to the game. This included parents if they would help usher the kids. He also provided each person with a ticket for a hot dog and soda.

It was always a fun day. I even got to see Ted Williams hit a game winning home run over the Green Monster.
