Exactly. A high-profile event like Trump’s trial is naturally going to draw an army of media and it’s a perfect opportunity for someone to make some kind of political or social statement. In this case, by immolating himself. But we don’t know his political persuasion or what motivated him to do that.

It wasn’t that long ago that someone immolated themselves to protest the war in Gaza. I guess we’ll eventually find out what cause this person was protesting. He is almost certainly going to die though.
