The guy who set himself on fire is now at the Cornell burn unit (which is one of the best in the nation). He published a manifesto online (because of course he did). I wont link.

The overarching theme in the manifesto is a conspiracy theory that that the US government has been taken over by a Ponzi scheme to hide illicit crypto profits. Shades of Sovereign Citizen, but none of the classic SovCit tics.

Seems that conspiracy theories (and their themes) have splintered into so many different variations that it’s hard to classify this one.
